Rate of Growth and Development is at its peak during the formative years of age 0-8. Nutrition is one of the major factors that impacts a child’s overall development in terms of growth and learning. Nourished children have high immunity levels that minimizes the probability of various illness.
It is critical that the diet you generally give to your child, should be as nutritious as possible. If they fill up on unhealthy foods instead it means they are missing out on nutrients that help them build bones, muscle and heal body, as well as help them learn and concentrate in school. Few children need special diet attention if they are found to be diabetic, overweight, underweight and having intolerance to lactose/ Gluten. A balanced and issue specific diet, preferably planned by a certified dietician is always advisable to deal with such issues.
