Mostly, speech delay is temporary and the child eventually responds to the guided efforts by the parents. If the child has not achieved below milestones:
There is no harm in getting a detailed assessment by an expert if the parents or the school teacher finds any issue in the speech or language development of the child. It can help in determining the cause of delay. Early assessment and intervention are always beneficial, even if it is a temporary delay or child is a late bloomer.
