    Stage Detail 

    Your baby is growing at wonderful rate ,the embryo is mature enough to be considered as fetus. Now the baby has webbed feet with toes and hands with tiny fingers. Also, the parts of face including lips, nose and thin eyelids start to form and your baby now look like more of human with tiny eyes, ear lobes and mouth. With all these essential structures in place, your baby is now ready to swiftly gain weight in the coming weeks.  


    Pregnancy Symptoms 

    Although you may not look like pregnant still but there must be some thickening at your waist. In addition to the symptoms of previous weeks, you will now experience pregnancy symptoms like: 

    • Mood Swings: There can be extreme changes in your mood and behavior, and you will start feeling a bit emotional or aggressive at times. The reason for your short temperedness, irritation and unusual behavior is just enjoying inside your body. Don’t be surprised if you are smiling at one moment while the other moment you are sad or stressed out. Just relax and let the pregnancy show its effects. All these will go soon , and you will have your little bundle of joy in your arms.  
    • Constipation: Most of the pregnant woman complain of constipation and are advised to exercise and eat high fiber foods to clear bowel regularly as straining can be harmful for your baby.  Increase sense of smell: By the time your reach 9th week of your pregnancy, your nose will become more sensitive and there will be an increased sense of smell especially for certain foods, drinks, perfumes etc. This is absolutely normal, and you can avoid all these things to stay calm.  

    Exercise and Physical Activities

    As the breast size changes during pregnancy, you will notice continued growth of your breasts and they may become saggy too. The growth of breast is due to the thickening of fat layer and progressive growth of the number of milk glands to prepare for breastfeeding. Try some exercises for saggy breast . 


    Things to do this week

    • Do toning exercises to prevent future sagging of your breast.  
    • Stay hygienic and eat healthy to prevent yourself from infections during pregnancy 
    • Wear loose clothes for appropriate blood circulation and to avoid breast pain 
    • Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) may help reduce some pregnancy nausea and vomiting in first trimester. So, include foods rich in vitamin B6 like Veg: Sunflower seeds, pistachios, poultry, dried prunes, bananas, avocado, tomatoes, spinach & Non veg: tuna, lean beef etc. in your diet.
